A team within Coca-Cola is monitoring the quality of their soft drinks specifically within the Burger King chain of restaurants.

They required a bespoke Quality Management Control [QMC] database that would collate data from their field engineers and produce a series of reports.

The data comes in from the field engineers as a hand written form and then scanned into an Access database. The forms are then processed by the system ready for the reports to be created.

Coca-Cola had 4 main system objectives
1. Eliminate the manual inputting of data, which is both time-consuming and prone to errors.
2. To retrieve the information from hand written forms.
3. Reduce the time taken to create monthly statistical reports
4. To enable a way of comparing year upon year results to ensure that quality is constantly improving.
